Born in Sapporo, Hokkaido. Grew up in a musical environment, learning piano from age 3 and drums from age 10. Influenced by her father, she listened to jazz, and was particularly inspired by Ella Fitzgerald's masterpiece "Ella in London." After graduating from high school, she lived in Hawaii for 4 and a half years, then moved to Okinawa. She met the late pianist Fumio Yara at "Jazz Live In Gōwa" in Naha City, and began singing jazz. She performed mainly in jazz bars in Naha City. After that, she was greatly influenced by working as an assistant to jazz singer Karen Aoki, who came to Okinawa for a tour, and moved to Tokyo in 2012. She currently performs mainly in jazz clubs and lounges in Tokyo.
