Kotoko-ryu shakuhachi and Satsuma biwa player. He started playing the shakuhachi and biwa in the fourth grade. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Faculty of Music, Department of Japanese Music, Shakuhachi Major. He was the first biwa player to receive the Grand Prize of the 9th Hase Examination School Memorial Country Japanese Music Competition and the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Encouragement Award. She became the first female shakuhachi player to make her major debut (avex) and won the New Artist of the Year Award at the 19th Japan Gold Disc Awards as a member of the Japanese musical instrument unit Rin'.
