KOMONO LAKE, a natural city pop unit consisting of singer Kanbin, who also works as a woodworker, and former Kero Kero Bonito producer SKYTOPIA, has released their third Single, "MOUNTAIN MAN"! It is an impressive song that expresses the beauty of mountains and nature with a minimalist arrangement, mysterious synths, and lyrics entirely in English. The music video, which was released at the same time, was directed by architectural filmmaker Seo Kenji and was filmed deep in the mountains of Kochi, where Kanbin's production base is located. It is a video that truly pursues the origins of "naturalism". This is a powerful work that expands the range of expression of this up-and-coming unit, who have achieved a total of 30,000 streams with just two Single so far.

KOMONO LAKE
A three-piece unit with a musical style influenced by city pop, Showa era pop music, and soul/R&B. They are active mainly in Tokyo. Since being formed in 2021 by singer Kanbin, producer SKYTOPIA, and bassist Kuroji, they have released three EPs and one full Album so far. In 2023, they successfully completed a Taiwan tour, and recently were selected for TuneCore Japan's "WHO AM I?", selected for Spotify's "RADAR: Early Noise" playlist, and introduced as a notable artist in 2024 on Fuji TV's "Tune." Their catchy melodies and transparent singing voice continue to attract attention.
